And a beautiful mamma....
Lola is a four year old English Bulldog of the champion Lyerly bloodline. Lola currently resides in Vinings, GA. Although she has been raised in UGA "bulldog country," Lola is an LSU tiger fan through and through. Lola has an excellent pedigree with champions on both sides of the family.

Aunt Cheney makes a visit
Cheney is such an animal lover, she was really cut out to be a vet! However, she's decided to work on real people instead and is in Med School at UGA. We are very proud of her. She make a first visit to the Lola babies on Christmas eve. G-rod fell in love with her--sweet!
Best friends...
G-rod and Buckwheat are best friends...and they love their stockings (just like personal-sized puppy sleeping bags)
Family portrait
Wow!!! What a job to have a family photo shoot with six people and six puppies. But I think we succeeded with ONE good photo. Here you see Ken, Shelley, Keitha, Lacey, Kenley, and Trey with Wildman, Buckwheat, Alfalfa, Tupelo, Wildflower and G-rod. This was a challenge! Thanks to Janelle for her awesome photography skills!

Buckwheat
Buckwheat is super-cute! His face is half white and half brindle with a small polka dot on top. He didn't want to cooperate for this headshot, though!
Unsuccessful headshots...
We tried to take headshots on Lola's sofa. But she wasn't having it! She promptly sat right down in the middle of our "set" and refused to share!
Aunt Cami visits the clan
Although they are just a week old, the pups are about the same size as Cami's adult chihuahua! Tiny!!!
Rosario loves puppies...
But who doesn't, right? Rosario helps Lola feed the babies while sitting IN the baby pool with all seven of them...a sight!

Lola's Puppies!
On December 7th, 2010 Lola gave birth to her beautiful and healthy Bulldog puppies. Thanks to Dr. Carder and his staff, Lola's c-section was successful and there are 6 adorable puppies. Three boys and three girls.

The Vet Clinic
The night of December 6th was a rough one. We had planned for a C-section on the morning of Tuesday the 7th, but Lola was ready for the puppies to be out of the belly much sooner than that. On the night of the 6th she was up and down, on and off her bed, in and our of her mom's bed (typically never allowed). And she was just planed uncomfortable and annoyed. We awoke early on the morning of the 7th, after a very restless night with little sleep and headed to The Vet Clinic to see Dr. Sean Carder and team. Here is Lola getting ready for her surgery. She was a real trooper, even when she had to have her tummy shaved in preparation for the C-section.
